PG&E
Registering with PG&E
- Remember, your PG&E online login credentials are not the same as your Chai Energy login credentials. (That is unless you decided to use the same email address and password for both PG&E and Chai Energy.)
- If you haven’t already registered with PG&E, let’s start by visiting their Registration page.
- Does that page tell you are already registered? No problem, let’s head to ‘Forgot Username’.
Forgot username
- Click here to visit PG&E’s ‘Forgot Username’ page.
- Enter your email address in the text box and click the ‘Submit’ button.
- PG&E should then email you the username to the email address you registered with.
- Note: It may take some time for PG&E to get back to you.
- If you remember your password, let’s try logging into PG&Es website just to be sure.
- If you have successfully logged into PG&E’s website, we can then enter your login credentials into the Chai Energy app.
- Did PG&E give you this error?
- “The user name and / or password that you entered was not valid. Please check that you have entered all the information correctly. If you have forgotten your password click here.”
- Don’t worry, we can follow their advice and reset your password. Let’s move onto Step 3.
Forgot password
- Click here to visit PG&E’s ‘Forgot Password’ page.
- You will be presented with the password security question that you entered when you signed up for PG&E online services. When you enter the correct answer, a temporary password will be sent to your registered email address.
- Note: It may take some time for PG&E to get back to you.
- Got your email? Good to hear, let’s move onto setting up the Chai Energy app with your utility information.
SCE:
Registering with SCE and ‘Link My Account’
* We suggest you have your utility bill handy if you need to register as your account number is required.
- Remember, your SCE online login credentials are not the same as your Chai Energy login credentials. (That is unless you decided to use the same email address and password for both SCE and Chai Energy.)
- If you haven’t already registered with SCE, let’s start by visiting their Registration page.
- Does that page say are already registered?
- Great! Now we’ll need to ‘Link My Account’
- Log into your account on SCE’s website
- Click your name on the top right of the page, which will expand and display three buttons—‘MySCE’, ‘Link Account’, and ‘Log Out’
- Click the ‘Link Account’ button, which will send you to the ‘Link Your Account’ page
- Enter your account number and billing zip code
- After reviewing Terms & Conditions, you will need to click the checkbox for “I have read and agree to the terms and conditions”
- Click the ‘Link Account’ button on the bottom of the screen
Forgot username and password
- Click here to visit SCE’s ‘Forgot Password’ page.
- Enter your SCE User ID or email address in the text box and click the ‘Continue’ button. Follow the rest of the instructions SCE provides to retrieve your password.
- Got your password? Let’s try logging into SCE’s website just to be sure. If all went well, head to the Chai Energy utility setup
- Did SCE give you this error?
- “We do not recognize the SCE.com User ID entered. If this is a valid user ID, please contact us at 1-800 655-4555 to reset your password.”
- If you are unable to remember your SCE username or User ID:
- We suggest searching your email for a registration confirmation email you would have received from SCE’s system.
- You can also give SCE a call at 1-800 655-4555 for assistance.
SDG&E
Registering with SDG&E and ‘Stream My Data’
* We suggest you have your utility bill handy if you need to register as your account number is required.
- Remember, your SDG&E online login credentials are not the same as your Chai Energy login credentials. (That is unless you decided to use the same email address and password for both SDG&E and Chai Energy.)
- If you haven’t already registered with SD&E, let’s start by visiting their Registration page.
- Does that page tell you are already registered?
- Great! Now we’ll need to enable ‘Stream my Data’
- Log into your account on SDG&E’s website
- Once logged in, tap or mouse over ‘My Energy’
- Tap or click ‘My Energy Overview’
- Read the terms and tap or click ‘I Agree Continue’
Forgot username
- Click here to visit SDG&E’s ‘Forgot Username’ page.
- Enter your email address in the text box and click the ‘Next’ button to follow the rest of the instructions SDG&E provides to retrieve your username.
- If you remember your password, let’s try logging into SDG&Es website just to be sure.
- If you have successfully logged into SDG&E’s website, we can then enter your login credentials into the Chai Energy app. (Go to Chai Energy utility setup )
- Did SDG&E give you this error?
- Please fix the following errors: “Your User ID and / or Password do not match our records. Please try again.”
- Don’t worry, we’ll need to get you setup with your SDG&E password. Let’s move onto Step 3.
Forgot password
- Click here to visit SDG&E’s ‘Forgot Password’ page.
- Enter your SDG&E User ID and the email address you used to sign up with SDG&E and click ‘Next’.
- Follow the rest of the instructions SDG&E provides you.
- Got your password? Let’s try logging into SDG&E’s website just to be sure.
- If you have successfully logged into SDG&’s website, we can then enter your login credentials into the Chai Energy app. (Go to Chai Energy utility setup)
