Chai Energy Pro does not require smart plugs. Chai Energy Pro collects real-time energy data, which shows when each appliance cycles “on” and “off.” Each appliance uses energy in a different way, like an energy signature. Chai can search for those energy signatures to identify individual appliances, and monitor their usage.
